 Smart suggestion For the beginner Quilter 

 Welcome to My Quilt Obsession! My love for quilting began long before owning my first sewing machine.

 When I started my first quilt it was tempting to go to my local quilt shop or online to purchase a bunch of gadgets and fabric, but I learned that you don’t need to invest a small fortune in this hubby.

 Let's start with what you need to start your smart quilting adventure for beginners. 

 The first thing that you need is a sawing machine, in the market, there are a million kinds of costly sawing machines, of different sizes, different abilities, and defiantly different quality. As a beginner you don't need an expensive machine I recommend Brother CS6000I, I like this machine because it's not the cheapest one but it's very affordable and the programs and the quality are great and this machine comes with a big attachment table for quilting. 

 

 The next thing you will need is fabric don't buy fabric on Amazon in the beginning I recommend going to the store and touch, fell different fabrics this is how you will understand the different qualities of fabric for different projects. My recommendation is to go to Michael's for the fabric section they have a beautiful selection and lots of great prices and clearance, I also recommend downloading their app to your phone, you will find lots of great coupons.

 Now you will need cutting supplies, that include a cutting mat and rotary cutter on these products, I will not cut expenses on this product, because if your rotary cutter is not of good quality you will work very hard and hurt your hand, and your cutting will not look good. Cutting mat you must buy a quality one and it must have a self-healing cutting mat if you will not buy a good one, you will have bumps and your cutting will not be accurate and straight. But you must do the research and compare prices before you buy. 

 

👉Tip:  if you find a product on amazon that is exactly like Michael's at a lower price Michael's will match the price.  

  More products you will need are; Quilting Rulers - Do Not go and buy for your first project a bunch of different rulers, because most of them you will not need, buy as you go. The only ruler I would recommend you buy first is the quilting ruler 6.5 x 24” .like every product do your research for pricing... you can find different prices in different stores or websites.
